The Detroit Branch was established in 1980 and will celebrate its 25th Anniversary on April 1,2005. The Society goals are to provide instruction in Scottish Country Dancing, and to preserve and promote Scottish Country Dancing and its music.
Scottish Country Dancing is done all around the world.  Once you learn the basic steps and formations, you can find places to dance anywhere in the world.  Typical activities are Branch classes, social dance sessions, demonstrations, and formal Balls.  Partners and Scottish attire are not required.
